what time is it?

i read a lot of blogs on a daily basis and there's something that confuses me. why do bloggers have a clock on their page? this isn't meant to offend anyone. i'm just wondering. is there a reason that isn't obvious to me? i don't think it's for the readers. if they want to know what time it is, they can look down in the corner of their computer screen. so, i'm guessing it's just for looks - which is fine. i don't think i'll be putting one one here, tho.

on another note, i thought i was going to sign up to do a local 5k walk/run called the bolder boulder. i've been walking in hopes of getting in better shape and to boost my stamina in order to walk a 5k (which i've never done). but then i found out it's a 10k. my son is planning to run it (he's a runner) and he's encouraging me to do it. but i'm unsure. a 5k seemed difficult enough. now we're talking about doubling the amount of walking i'd be doing. stay tuned... i'll let you know.

Well I think clocks on blogs are quite useful. When I read a let´s say australian blog from over here in Germany I know it´s very late there and don´t have to expect an update there for a few hours.

i don't know whats up with clocks either, but i don't read blogs so i wouldnt even know there are clocks on them. if you want, i will walk the 10k with you, and if it takes us a month, then i guess we will be walking a month. <3 you!

I put the clock on my blog because when I am on a blog in another country it is always fun for me to be reminded of what time it is there. I thought people from outside the U.S. would appreciate knowing what time it is where I'm at and they are reading my blog.

thanks for everyone's comments. i didn't think about blogs written in different time zones. that does make sense.
