take me out to the ballgame

It may be Fall and it may be football season, but let's not forget about our boys of summer and the end of their season.

I love the game of baseball. I love going to baseball games. I love the atmosphere in the ballpark. I love the overpriced hot dogs and stale pretzels. Too bad I don't like beer or peanuts. I've heard that's an important part of the whole experience. I love singing during the seventh inning stretch. I love people watching. I just love it all, even without beer and peanuts.

I had the privilege of attending the Rockies baseball game yesterday. Some friends gave us their season tickets to the game - seats right behind home plate. It was a good game. The Rockies ended up winning 13-0. The only downside was that there was a thunderstorm that rolled through and caused a rain delay. It was the sixth inning and we were up 11-0 at that point so we decided to make a break for the car and head on home. After all, we could still catch most of the Bronco game on tv. I love baseball, but a Bronco's game comes in a close second.

You had INCREDIBLE seats. I'm not much of a baseball fan...but I love going to games, especially with really good seats. And, for some reason, no hot dog tastes the same as one at the ballpark!!!

I LOVE this picture of you! :)

I love baseball too! How exciting to sit where you did, and you did see most of the runs, so good for you!!!

Looks great, and I too love the ambiance of a ball game(if I can say that and still not sound uncouth?)

To answer your question on the results of the prayer tent: since the festival just ended yesterday it is too soon to measure the tangible results.

But we KNOW that you cannot have a body of people who are praying around the clock 24/7 for this community and not have results. Our church does that on a continuing basis, not just during this festival but I didn't mention that. Yes we know God hears our prayers. By the way, our prayers are not just to grow our church but to fill-up EVERY church in our city and most importantly build the Kingdom of God.

Those ARE great seats. I'm a NY Yankees fan. I watch them on tv all the time, but there's nothing like being at a ball game.

Did I tell you the one time in '98 when the Rockies organization put us in the FIRST row behind home plate? I went with the two older boys but only two tickets. To make the long story short, they took the two 3rd deck tickets and gave me three in the very first row. Made a fan of me for life. Well, at least I can root for them in the NL. My team still remains Cleveland, my hometown heroes. I'm listening to an exciting game right now on XM.

Go Rockies!!! Go Broncos!!! UNLESS they are playing the Vikings - and then the Vikes get my cheer!

We used to have season tickets to the Vikings when we lived in MN. It was hard for my husband to let them go when we moved. I know he misses going to the games.

Sounds like a fun thing to go and do! And such great seats! Hubby has been to a Mariners game, but I've never been. Now that we're in Southern Cali we need to head to a few games... I guess :)
