Yesterday I went and had a pedicure. I love pedicures. They are just one of the ways I nurture myself - which I firmly believe we all should do. It's a gift I give myself.I didn't always get pedicures. In fact, up until about 10 years ago, I never even wore color on my toenails. I don't think I ever had color on them, not even as a kid. I remember the first time I had my toenails painted. It was at a women's retreat and we stayed up into the wee hours talking, laughing, and painting each other's nails. At first, I said 'no, I don't want color on them,' but then gave in and ended up liking the way they looked.
That was the start. At first, I would paint them myself every once in a while. Then I went to a nail salon and had a professional pedicure and I've never gone back to doing them myself. Of course, they can apply the color better than I can but that's not why I continue to go. It's the leg, ankle, and foot massage that I find heavenly. I love how smooth my heels end up being. And on top of it all, I find it to be a great stress reliever.
If you've never had a professional pedicure, I encourage you to give it a try.

I have had one pedicure. I loved it and need to start doing it more regularly. It is a great way to do something for yourself, and you are right, we all need to do that. I was terrible about it while my kids were little but I am getting better as they get older. Now you've inspired me...maybe I'll just go do that soon!!
I've gotten a pedicure I few times. I really enjoyed it. I wish I could afford to have them done on a regular basis, especially in the summer!
yes, definitely. my toenails really hurt and screams for a pedie every two weeks!
I don't get regular ones anymore cause we live in the boondocks, baby! I used to love getting them thought & would always get some ridicules color that I would never wear on my hands.
I've only ever had 2. My hair dresser gave me one after Quintin was born and I paid to have one in the last few weeks of pregnancy with Elle.
It's raining down here at the beach, and one of the girls and I were actually thinking of going and treating ourselves to one today!! I'll let you know if we do!

Never had a pedicure. Not once. What a loser I am! lol. I actually couldn't get one...I'm too ticklish! ha ha
I have had one pedicure in my whole life. My husband bought it for me for Mother' Day 3 years ago. 2 days later I had a plantars wart I was so mad!!!
Oh, I am spoiled because I have had one and I do love it. My mom got me hooked by buying me gift certificates with pregnancies and such. (and I just keep getting pregnant....LOL)
I do try to treat myself at the start of summer and somewhere in the middle. (I have had #1 now as a surprise from my hubby)
I had my first pedicure the day before my brother's wedding (didn't do it for mine). It was a gift from my SIL to all of us in the wedding party. I am not a fan. Do not like people working on my feet and man did they HURT for a few days after. The toe nails look fabulous, but not worth it to me.
I do get them about every 2-3 weeks in the summer.. less in the winter when my feet are covered up.. I know this is going to sound crazy.. but I hate it! The only reason I get it done is so my feet look cute in my sandals and flip flops!
I always get one at the start of summer and sandle season. Yes, pure luxury.

I've had one. it was nice and I'd like to do it again, but I'm not big on the going out somewhere to spend money and time on that.
I actually had a $50 gift certificate to a really frou frou pedicure place given to me. I let it expire....the idea of knowing I had the certificate IF I ever wanted to go was nicer than using it and no longer having the option to escape.
that probably doesn't make sense to anyone but me.
I have been thinking the last month that I'd like to go have one, but I gotta be able to sit in their chair first :-)

Like you, I started getting pedicures about 10 years ago and I love them. I never do my own toenails, but instead indulge myself by getting them done professionally. I love the the foot massage, leg massage and the massaging chair. I used to get them only in the summer, but now I go in during the winter months occasionally. Even if I'm the only one who knows it, I love having painted toenails.

I very rarely get manicures anymore ~ I had them all the time when I still worked "out of the house", but now I work at home on my website boutique and play golf in my spare time - so I just keep clear polish on my nails most of the time. BUT I Have regular Pedicures every 3 weeks - I love it!!!!!
No. I have one once. It was weird to me but if I had more money I would do it.

Yes and Yes. I, too, love them. They are so, so relaxing and every time I look at my toes and get a little smile on my face.
I had a pedicure when I was a little girl lol But now i just do it myself.
I use to get them very regularly. Now with kids, not so often. I love them. I think it is relaxing and nice to be pampered.
True story: I hate pedicures. I like getting my feet massaged and the end result but all the scraping and filing? Like nails on a chalkboard. That said, I get them at least twice a year.
Salon pedis are so rare around here - and that's what makes them such an indulgence!
Lately, I've been doing my own. My story is the same as yours - growing up, I never did my nails let alone had colour on them. For the first time this year, I'm just thriving on the colours. It makes me feel so feminine and pretty to have soft feet and shiny pink nails.

My wife is pretty concerned with the sanitary things she has in the spa. She bought this Pedicure Massage Chair for the simple reason that it has ozone sterilization.
