Whether you voted for Barack Obama or not... whether you agree with the stimulus package that was just signed or not... I think we should find favor with the new website,, that has been set up by President Obama's administration that will track where the money from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act is going.

I know this act is a touchy subject and I don't mean to rile up any volatile emotions. I just wanted to say that I think this website is a great idea and I applaud the President for his desire to be transparent and accountable and make this information public and available. I encourage you to check out the site. It's user friendly and very straight forward. I know I plan to visit it frequently so I can personally watch the progress of this act and how the economy is being affected - either good or bad.

I also find it fascinating that this is where technology has brought us. We have to admit that the internet has changed our lives in so many ways. I love seeing new ways in which it's being used and this site is a good example of that. I think it's great that the government is using this tool to communicate with us, as taxpayers and citizens of this great country. Thank you President Obama.

before you applaud him with too great of gusto, check the website over real well. and remember that if the website is set up by the same people hoping to win others over to the agenda at hand...the information can be vague at best, and misleading at worst.

i agree the general idea is admirable. but is the information really going to help us understand this mess any better?

"Protecting the vulnerable" 81 billion---i guess i could read that anyway that i want. but i'd be naive and downright stupid to think that he might perhaps include the UNBORN as vulnerable.

Thanks for posting this! I knew there was a website out there, but hadn't checked into it yet. I've bookmarked it and will check back often.

Lots of different views on this, but we all need to start somewhere in trying to get together on a plan.

I hope it is as straightforward as you believe.

However, I'm cynical.

I see a propaganda ploy.

Time will tell.

We need to be aware of all things. Eyes to see and ears to hear. Thanks for putting up the link.
