home is where the heart is

...
My blessing today is the fact that Don and I have a nice home to live in.

I see that so many people in this country are losing their homes because of the economy or mortgage problems. Of course, our fate could change at any moment and we wouldn't have enough money to keep our home, but hopefully nothing that tragic will happen.

So today I choose to thank God for the blessing of my home, and what a nice home it is. We were lucky to find it five years ago, have enjoyed hosting parties and youth group meetings, raised teenagers here, had a basement for a band to practice in each week, and now look forward to our kids coming back occasionally and filling it with laughter.

Blessing #6 in a month's worth of blessings.

Yep, home is where the heart is!

If you need additional laughter and, perhaps, the sound of things breaking - we'll be over! ;-)

A home is something so many of us take for granted. It sounds like you have made a nest that your kids will definitely love coming home to visit.

And I too hope that things don't get worse, maybe we are do for a change with our new president. We sure can't afford to keep to the path we are on.

I thank the Lord for our little home daily!!!! Not for the "house" although I really love it and it is perfect for just the 2 of us, but for our "home"!!!

I will have to check into watching Moulin Rouge.

It is hard for me to just pick 3 movies. There are too many to name them.
I love romantic comedies.
27 Dresses, Fools Gold,
Anything with Matthew McConachy in.

What a great thing to be thankful for!! I constantly look around me and think how lucky we are with the economy the way it is.
