movie time...

As I've written before, I am a big movie goer. I love movies. I come from a long line of movie goers and I'm sure I've passed it on to my kids. I usually go once a week during the school year with two girlfriends. And now that Don and I have more free time, we've been going more. Here are my thoughts on the last three that I've seen.

Don and I went to see Traitor a couple of weeks ago and really liked it. It stars Don Cheadle as a a former Special Ops soldier who is aiding terrorists. I don't want to give anything away so that's about all I'll say on the plot. I think Don Cheadle is such a good actor and his performance in this movie doesn't disappoint. It is rated PG-13 but there is quite a bit of violence and some language that may not be suitable to some.

Last week, my movie buddies and I saw The Women. The all-star cast made this a fun movie and I did enjoy it. I'll have to say that the acting wasn't top notch but the story was good and one that most women can relate to in one way or another. There are some great lessons illustrated throughout the movie. Rated PG-13.

And over the weekend, Don and I saw Lakeview Terrace starring Samuel L. Jackson. It was well done and kept you on the edge of your seat. There were some disturbing parts but they actually gave me chance to reflect on some related (in a round about way) situations in my own life. It is rated PG-13 but I think it probably should have been rated R.

From the previews I've seen, there are some good looking movies coming out soon. I'm looking forward to them. What movie(s) have you seen lately or what movie(s) are you wanting to see?

Thanks for the reviews!

I want to see The Women. I had planned to see it this afternoon, but it didn't work out.

The last movie I saw was Mamma Mia, which I really liked.

Since I'm part of your long line of movie goers, and haven't seen a movie recently, I am definitely needing a movie with popcorn and a diet coke!

My want to see list includes: The Women, Burn After Reading, Eagle Eye, Man on Wire and Vicky Cristina Barcelona. From now through December are great movie months.

I'll begin marking them off my list later this week.

I'm so out of the loop when it comes to movies! The only one of these that I had heard of was Lakeview Terrace!
It's been a long time since I've been to a movie without talking animals in it...
The only movie I WAS looking forward to this fall was Harry Potter... but now that's not gonna happen. So, I really don't have anything I just can't wait to see!

I wait for them to come out on DVD then I can buy them for the same price as a ticket, and watch them when I want. I'm waiting for Iron man! next.

Its been forever since I went to see a movie in a theater. Now that we upped our cable option, we are catching some good movies on the weekends...even if they are from the 90s - we never saw them! LOL

The only movie I'm familiar with is the last one - and it looks so creepy - but goooood! Maybe we can rent it before it comes to tv! LOL!

I think the last movis I saw in the theater was The Lion, Witch and Wardrobe...I think...maybe we rented that one...

We so rarely go. Last weekend we thought about doing a date night and going to the movies, but when I looked on line to see what was available nothing seemed worth watching...maybe I should look again...
