it's friday
In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that the locals take it easy and look forward to the weekend. Kailani at An Island Life has turned that into a blogging carnival. Anyone can participate by asking a simple question for readers to answer. You can check out all the participants here.
My questions:
What are you currently reading? and Are you enjoying it?
I pose this question because I am currently reading Angels & Demons by Dan Brown (author of the DaVinci Code) and I can't put it down. I'm sure I will finish it today. It is such a page turner and I'm enjoying every page.

I'm currently reading nothing and that makes me sad. I really do want to read Angels & Demons though...I might just go pick it up now on your recommendation :)
Plum Lucky by J.Evanovich.
Her books are so hard for me to put down.
I'm still reading the last Harry Potter book. It hasn't grabbed me yet as I am only reading a chapter or two a day. I'm waiting for the "I can't put it down" to kick in.
I've been tempted to read one of his books, but I have so many others I want to read before them, that I may never get there. ROFL
Currently, I'm reading The Shack and loving it. Next on my list is No Ordinary Child by Denise Mira.
I'm currently reading "Curse of the Spellmans" by Lisa Lutz - it's the sequel to "The Spellman Files" which I read awhile ago after falling in <3 with the show Veronica Mars and going on a kind of "Maybe in another life I was a Private Eye" phase... anyhoo - yeah I'm really enjoying it, although the book kind of forces you to read it slowly due to the way it was written, it takes me awhile to really process the whole thing, but I love the story, loved the first book.
I've only read Da Vinci Code so far, but I really want to read Brown's other books, too. DVC took me awhile to get into but then somewhere in the middle I devoured the whole thing in one sitting - so good.
ALSO ditto to Evanovich - I adore her books. I just got Fearless Fourteen and it's next on my list after the Spellman book.
Hey Diana! Happy Friday. I actually just got done reading two books that I read on vacation: Dear John by Nicholas Sparks (a really good book, but a total tear jerker!!!) and Memory Keeper's Daughter by Kim Edwards I believe it is. REally good book too.
Oh, and I also recently read The Shack by William P. Young. I believe you had said you read that and gave the book away a while back and that was what sparked my interest in it. I'm so glad I read it! It was fantastic.
I just arrived home from the library with my much anticipated copy of The Host by Stephenie Meyer.
Most of my reading right now is kids books. I try really hard to read a book before my son does. That way we can discuss it afterwards... right now I'm reading "Midnight for Charlie Bones" and it's okay. Not fantastic, but I'm liking it.
Great question.
I am currently reading The Princess Bride by William Goldman and I am LOVING it!
I always have multiple books going, I like choices based on my mood. Right now I have The Rapture by Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins and Always Dakota by Debbie Maccomber going upstairs and Month of Summer by Lisa Wingate and Twilight by Stephenie Meyers going downstairs.
I'm currently reading A Good Yarn by Debbie Macomber.
I have a Danielle Steele book and a Janet Evanovich book laying here too. I want to read that Fearless and Fourteen book too.
I've read all of those in that series and they are hilarious.
I love to read.
I need to go to the library because I have nothing to read! Maybe I'll look up this book. I LOVE to read and I can't stand not having a new book to read. I got a lot of good ideas from this post!
not currently reading anything
I'm always reading some sort of magazine. Today it was Prevention and tonight it will be People.
As for books that I'm reading, they are business books as usual. Right now it's ProBlogger and The 4-Hour Workweek.
I don't have a new book right now but the recent one I read was Shopaholic by Sophie Kinsella.
Just finished The Seduction of Christianity by Dave Hunt & T.A. McMahon.
Just started The Real Meaning Of The Sociac by D. James Kennedy (I had to contact the ministry to get this one - it is no longer in the bookstores), I had heard him (via TV) preach some sermons on this years ago, when he was still alive, and have always wanted to read the book.
I have The Good Confession by Watchman Nee waiting in the wings. I love Watchman Nee's writing.
Susan
I need to remember that book! It seems every time I'm at the bookstore I'm so overwhelmed by so many choices and don't get anything!
I'm currently reading Memory Keeper's Daughter. I've heard so many great things about this book but I just can't seem to get into it.
