are you ready?

...

It's Friday! Where did this week go to? Last weekend I felt ahead of the whole Christmas decorating, shopping, and shipping game. Now? Not so much, and time is running out. Not only am I not where I should be at this point, but more has been added to my list. I now have family coming to spend a week with us. Yikes! On top of all that, I've come down with a cold. I feel like doing absolutely nothing except climbing into bed.

So, let me ask you...

Do you feel ready for Christmas? Are you ahead of the game? Or behind?

Aloha Friday is hosted each week by Kailani over at An Island Life.

I'm neither ready nor unready. It will come and pass by and I'll try to enjoy it as it does.

I guess I'm sort of ready.. i still have some shopping left to do, but other than that all the baking/decorating process is good:) But hey it's Jesus' birthday, so i guess the spirit is what we need to get ready, right?:)

Happy Friday and here's my Aloha!!

Take care of yourself!!! I'm hoping you can make it easy on yourself and do some online shopping and maybe get gift cards while you rest on the couch in a nice warm blanket!!!!

I'm feeling ready. But, I've got 2 children with birthdays this month - so I really try to plan ahead!

The only thing that waits until the last minute is baking cookies for my hubby's Christmas parties at work - for 2 departments.

Done and 90% wrapped!

By the way, on Wednesday I did a post with the lyrics of Sunshine on my shoulders! How weird! I see your blog address. :)

Chanukah is the front runner, so Christmas gets pushed back. I get ready about the 24th then we celebrate it for 12 days. ending on the 6th of Jan. So I have plenty of time to get ready.

I'm "behind" by secular standards, as I have just finished decorating my main Christmas tree and have yet to write and mail my annual Christmas letters. But I don't feel behind.

The Christmas season doesn't really begin until Dec. 25, and runs the 12 days after, so really I'm ahead. :-D

I think I'm doing okay. I finished my shopping yesterday, the house is decorated. Now I have to bake and wrap. It does make me nervous that Christmas is only two weeks from today! Ask me on Monday, and we'll see how the weekend went!

Hope you feel better!

I was feeling ahead of the game until the recent cold derailed my shopping plans. There are some things I still need to get that require going to the store. Maybe next week...

Did most of my shopping on line so I just picked up that last of it at the post office. Other than groceries and a few gift certificates, I am finished. I am keeping things simple this year.

I am very behind and I too have been battling a bad cold for four days now. I just haven't felt like doing anything, even wrapping gifts. Finally now that I am starting to feel better, I can get something done.

wait. there's a game?? when's the game? I don't remember signing up?? I hope I"m not the last picked for a team again......

I'm working on taking it as it comes. My only goal for advent is Peace of spirit. or at least a piece of the Spirit. whichever is easier that day.

but if you measure readiness by stuff left to do then I guess I'm on target. all that's left is wrapping and I figured out that the ornaments we made this year FIT INTO THE CHRISTMAS CARDS.....so how cool is THAT???
