six word saturday

...

Vampires and werewolves... my, oh my!

I'm 100 pages into the second book of Stephanie Meyer's Twilight series. I'll admit, I kinda dragged my feet - not really wanting to read it. Part of it is the whole stigma of reading a book (and seeing a movie) about vampires. The other part was that there are so many books on my "to read" list that I'd rather read at this time, but I wanted to read New Moon before the movie comes out next month.

But surprise... I am totally enjoying it. It's so much more than just a simple story of vampires and werewolves. The characters are complex. It's adventure. It's romance. It's a good story.

Six Word Saturday is hosted by at Cate at Show My Face.

Really? I bought the first book Twilight, but haven't picked it up yet . . . I have a horrible habit of immersing myself in a book and if it's good - I can't put it down and will just read the whole book. And I just don't have time for that! LOL
How's the weather? I saw your snow on the weather report! I am so JEALOUS!!!!!! :)
Have a great weekend!!! Karen

Glad to hear you're enjoying the Twiligh Series so far! I think I read all in about three weeks. The first three books in less than two weeks. lol.

I'm looking for a book to read this month. Something scary-ish for the Halloween season. I love vampires but I want to read about Scary vamps. Not angsty/brooding vamps. I could read "Salem's Lot" again but I've already read it a couple times. Hehe.

Happy 6ws!

I held off for a long time and was addicted from the first paragraph. Glad you came over to The Dark Side. :-)

I should pick it up, it's been lying around our house for months. I saw the movie (on demand) with my daughter and was surprised how much I enjoyed it!

I keep meaning to start that series and just haven't yet. I'm not really into vampires but everyone says I would like the books anyway.
