My Aloha Friday question this week is...
Would you rather meet your great-great grandparents or your great-great grandchildren?
This was actually a question posed at the small group I belong to and it sparked some great conversation. It really makes you ponder.
Of course, I'd love to do both. I love history and I figure my great-great grandparents lived somewhere in the latter part of the 1800s and early 1900s. I love that time period and would love to hear what life was like for them during those times.
But if I had to pick between the two, it would have to be meeting my great-great grandchildren. I'd like to see if the way I lived and raised my children had any effect on them. In other words, if Don and I left a legacy for our family. I'd also like to see what kind of technological changes there are in the world.

I would have to say my great great grandchildren.
Well I think it was cheating to read your rationale because it makes a lot of sense so I will have to go with your choice, great-great-grandchildren. Gosh I hope I at least get grandchildren.
great-great grandchildren
I would like to see my great-great grandchildren. I would like to know what has changed in the future.
Great Grand children. I would love to see the future
This is a great question. I would definitely want to meet my great-great-grandparents. I love history. My husband would say the grandkids. He's fascinated by the future. He says I was born 100 years too late and that he was born 100 years too early. Thank goodness we met in the middle!
What a great question! And at first my gut was my great grandchildren...but I have to say I think my great grandparents. I love hearing about what life was like and I have always been fascinated with my great grandparents. One set came from Ireland and one set came from Norway. Oh how I would love to hear their stories!!!
Love this new look!! :-)
I would want to meet my great-great-grandchildren for the same reasons as you. But then, it would be interesting to meet my great-great-grandparents to see if they thought they had left a legacy with us...interesting (and fun) question!
Happy Friday!
Parents- just to hear their stories.
Have a great Friday!

As much as I would have loved to meet my great-grandparents, I am named for them because they passed away. A great honor to me. I would love to see my kids have kids and see beyond that (if I am healthy).
my Great great Grandchildren!!! I never knew my grandparents so that is lost on me! Great question! Stop by
Without a doubt my great-great grandchildren. Wow. Such an awesome question that's going to stick with me.
great question!
I guess I would say great great grandchildren....
Oh that is some question. I think I would love to meet my great, great grandparents. I would love to hear all their knowledge and I am such a history buff.
I would rather my great great grand children.
I did not know my family before hand, but what I learned about them was mostly not good at all, so I would rather my generation forward.
Grandchildren - I want to see how good a job my kids will do, better yet, how good I job I did with them...
I'd choose my great great grandchildren, also. I'd be excited to see what kind of path we set our own children on in our lifetimes. Also, it'd be interesting to see the future and how things have changed.
Cool new blog design - love it!
Seeing what cool and interesting grandchildren I have I definitely would love to spend an afternoon with my great-great grandchildren!
Time travel?
I'd have to choose my great great grandchildren!

Hi Diane. My eldest sister is just now celebrating the birth of her first great grandchild. She is beside herself. I don't know what that's like.
I would really love to meet my great and great-great grandparents. If I could go back in time to meet them, I might be able to rearrange history so that there would be more good things coming down the generations. There are some really dramatic stories back there of which I only know small pieces. Like Karen, I was probably born too late! :)
But I do expect to see them allbefore too much time goes by, in a much better place than this one.
